HB Mechanical Services History
HB Mechanical Services was founded in 2009 to provide Commercial HVAC services to the Greater Houston & Greater Triangle markets in Texas. In our beginnings, we focused predominantly on HVAC service and retrofit for the Health Care sector. These humble beginnings would lead the company to become a leading HVAC commercial service provider for multiple markets within the Health Care, Industrial, Distribution, Commercial Office, K-12 and Universities, Pharmacy, and more business sectors.
In the beginning, The Company started in leased spaces with 5 associates on a journey to create a unique service company based on customer service, reliability & honest communication with our customers. The core principles establish a base set of customers who are still with us today. The Company continued a pattern of steady growth during the 2000s by increasing its resources to match the growth it was experiencing. In 2013 the company had outgrown its leased space and a search for a parcel of property was started and purchased. Construction of our new headquarters was begun and completed in November 2013 to make room for future growth.
As the company grew, we saw the need to expand into multiple offerings to our customers. In 2015 the company formed a Building Automation Division. 2016 saw the opening of our permanent office in Beaumont, Texas to better serve our Golden Triangle and Southwestern Louisiana customers. During conversations with our customers, we found common needs of our customer base. Drawing upon these customers’ desires for exceptional levels of service needs in those areas, we drew up a plan for a major expansion in offerings, locations, and services. 2017 saw the opening of our disaster relief potable water business within the healthcare sector that we have continued to grow and expand into additional offerings. In 2020 the company made a significant investment in C Staff positions, Account Managers, Estimators, Project Managers & Technicians in preparation for the expansion. We had no way to predict 3 months later the world would experience an epidemic that had no end in sight. Through many conversations with the HB associates, we developed a plan, decided to stick with our original growth plan, and grew our business by 34%. 2021 was a very busy year for HB Mechanical Services Associates. A new location was located in Grand Prairie, Texas, and HB Mechanical North Texas was up and running providing the same level of service our customers are used to in Houston & Southeast Texas. We listened to our customers and added additional service in Commercial Plumbing for our customers to have one point of contact for multiple needs within their facilities. If that was not enough, we implemented an ERP change to keep up with our growth and expanded our territory coverage to South Carolina and Southern Florida.
After another round of conversations with our customers to assist in their needs for their facilities in 2022. HB invested in HVAC Rental Equipment to provide extra cooling or heating relief during extreme weather conditions or a short-term replacement following an emergency. Our customers sometimes require equipment to cool, heat, or power an indoor environment temporarily. Another response from our customers revolved around Energy Management so we started a partnership with an Energy Procurement, Utility Usage & Optimization firm to assist our customers achieve their energy goals and procurement of energy services.
By 2022, sales were $15 million with 50 associates. The company is projecting sales to exceed 18.5 million in 2023 with 60 associates. The Company has continued to exceed 33% revenue growth since 2020.

HB Mechanical Services Inc. growth was not by accident, it takes the entire team of associates at HB to maintain, sustain and keep moving in a positive direction. Although we have many safety programs at HB like our Take 2 for Safety program for one, we felt it was time to bring in a Safety Specialist and task them with the responsibility of creating a healthy and productive workplace through the creation, and execution of existing and newly created health and safety plans for our associates and customers. prepares and enforces workplace safety policies and protocols.
Today, it is HB Mechanical's goal to be the preferred service provider of HVAC, Plumbing & Building Automation solutions to all markets we service and deliver trusted customer service through understanding, progress, knowledge, and operational excellence.
